Launchpad, a portfolio-first site for a solo tattoo artist. Three pages, live in two weeks.

Context

One page. Sub-two-week build. A portfolio-first site for a solo tattoo artist that does the work of a referral. Show the work, surface the studio etiquette, get serious clients to ask for a consult, and do not filter out anyone real.

Approach

Launchpad tier: template-based foundation, custom type, full-bleed portfolio grid, and one clear consult CTA. Content focused on the questions clients actually ask before booking.

Designed to test

A portfolio-first IA that puts the work above everything else, three pages, and a build path that ships in under two weeks.

Selected screens

Iris Calder homepage hero: editorial wordmark over a full-bleed arm tattoo photo with the tagline 'Fine-line botanical and blackwork. Custom only, by appointment.'
Featured piece: 'Rose, arm.' Single-needle, two sittings. Full-bleed editorial moment with botanical line work.
Portfolio grid: wrist study, luna moth, arm sleeve, and skeleton-hand-and-marigold pieces shown two-up.
Backpiece: geometric blackwork upper-back piece shown full-bleed.
About the artist: Iris at the bench in Greenpoint, with the quote 'The good ones come slow. A piece is a long conversation, not a transaction.'
Send a brief section: 'Have an idea? Tell Iris everything, she reads it all.' with the booking CTA and studio footer.
