·Field notes

Journal.

Quarterly debriefs on real engagements — what was decided, what got cut, what shipped, and what I'd do differently next time. Four posts a year, not forty.

Status

First note drops after the next engagement wraps

Studio launched 2026. Rather than backdate filler posts, this page sits empty until there's a real shipped decision to write about. The next engagement that closes becomes the first field note. Expect 600–1,200 words, the actual decisions named, the things that didn't work named too.

What lands here

Topics on deck

  • Engagement debriefs. One per quarter. Scoping → decisions → tradeoffs → ship → 90-day check-in.
  • Audit re-runs. The Studio Self-Audit gets re-run yearly. Each pass becomes its own note — what closed, what stayed open, what new audits made the menu.
  • Pricing & process autopsies. When a package gets repriced or retired, the reasoning lands here.
  • Tooling shifts. Stack changes, design-system version bumps, what got replaced and why.

In the meantime

Today's evidence

Until the first note drops, the studio's current shipped thinking lives across three surfaces: the case studies (decisions, not just deliverables), the Studio Self-Audit (the studio holding itself to its own framework, before and after), and Services (every package has a price on the page).
